Ekkkk! Finally making it out. What I have to look forward to: about 3 bus rides (at least one overnight), no showers for the next 24 hours and bus food!! Fun fun fun.....

First Stop, Cordoba @ Córdoba, Argentina

My first destination is Cordoba. After my long bus ride down, I´ve spent most of the day reorganizing myself and planning out the next few days. I will be here until tomorrow afternoon-ish, and then I will be off to San Luis. That should be a short bus ride, I´m hoping only about 6 hrs.

While I´ve only seen a few sites, Cordoba seems like a beautiful city full of life and energy. I love it. This is definitely a city that I could see myself living in. Cordoba is a large city but it´s small enough so that it is not overwhelming. Cordoba is famous for it´s many churches, one of which happens to be the oldest cathedrals in Argentina. Fun fact, right?

Well that’s all I have today, I´m off to explore the city!!!!

I´ve spent the last two days visiting wineries and taking in the beauty of the Andes. Mendoza is definately a tourist town. In the two days that I´ve been here, I´ve meet 4 Americans, 3 Danish girls, a Swedish dude and several British people. Those are just the people I´ve met, I can´t count the numerous languages that I´ve heard in the past week. Really impressive.

He pasado los últimos dos días visitando bodegas quedando en maravilla de los Andes. Al bajarme de colectivo inmediatamente me di cuenta de la cantidad de turistas en Mendoza. He conocido personas de todo el mundo, y solo en unos días! Lo que mas me gusto de esta cuidad es la tranquilidad. Hay mucho movimiento, pero tiene la apariencia de un pueblo pequeño.

Bueno es todo para hoy. Me voy a explorar la ciudad un poco antes de tomar mi colectivo esta noche para Santiago, Chile!!!

Hola a todos! Estoy ahora por Santiago. Que puedo decir de Santiago. Realmente es un ciudad que me dejo sin palabras. Conocí a muchas buenísimas personas y conocí la diferencia entre el español y el el español Chileno, muy diferente a lo que conozco pero igual me gusto.

Esta tarde salgo de regreso para Argentina. Desean me suerte!!!!

Beautiful little town in the middle of the Andes. Love the climate right now, middle of fall. Beautiful! Every direction I look I can see the Andes, I can't get over that! Love it!!!

After a 10 hr bus ride through the Andes and a quick stop in Mendoza I made it to San Juan. Although my stay was short, it was a great place to take a breather.

San Agustín de Valle Fértil - Valle de la Luna @ San Agustín de Valle Fértil, Argentina

San Agustíne de Valle Fertíl is a small remote town in the northern part of the San Juan Provence. It´s about 4 hours away from the capitol and there are only 3 daily departures. It has a population of about three thousand.

To continue my trip from here I had two options, either take a four hour bus back to San Juan (where there are plenty of buses heading north) or wait until the following morning when there would be a 3 am bus to La Rioja (again, where there are plenty of buses heading north). I, along with 4 other people decided to take with the latter. Little did we know what we had signed up for.

So I spent the next three days with the same group of four people, two Spaniards, one Dutch an argentine and occasionally a Frenchman. It was an odd combination but it worked out well. I ended up having an amazing time exploring the Valle de la Luna with them!!

Bueno, he llegado al lugar donde se firmo la Declaración de Independencia de Argentina. Es una ciudad con mucho que ver y hacer. Pase la mayor parte de un día recorriendo el Parque 9 de Julio. Una cuida con mucha actividad pero igual tiene un sentido de tranquilidad. ¡El lugar ideal para tomar unos días de descanso con un poco de exploración!
