One area you will want to see on your Australia holidays is the Fraser Island. The native name for Fraser Island is K’gari. This means paradise. Fraser contains rainforest that grows in sand. You will not see this anywhere else. There are less than 400 people that live on this island. This amazing island has rainforests, large cliffs and a beautiful lake. You will be impressed by the white beaches and sand. Many people who visit have high hopes of seeing the dingos that live there. You will also want to view the ship that ran ashore during a large storm in 1935. The Champagne Pools are enjoyable at Fraser Island. You will enjoy them because you can sit in pools that are safe from the sharks in the ocean. The pools are home to crabs that are enjoyable to see.
While on your Australia holidays you will want to see the Sydney Harbor Bridge. This bridge has the nickname of the Coat Hanger. You can take a walk to the top of the bridge and view the cars below. It is the tallest steel arch bridge which is more than 400 feet from the top to water level.
The third thing I would not want to miss is the Great Barrier Reef. The reef structure is a beautiful marine area made by tiny living things. It is more than 80 million acres along the coast. The reef is home to 1500 types of fish and is a breeding ground for humpback whales. The whales migrate from Antarctic. It is also full of sponges, molluscs, along with many types of birds. The reef is also home to turtles over 100 years old. There have also been about 30 shipwrecks in this area.
