Detective Phil Szpicki is walking 1000 miles to Ground Zero to help raise money for wounded warriors

My name is Phil Szpicki and I'm 70 years old. Starting from Rockford Illiinois, my intent is to walk from Rockford to the plane crash in Pennsylvania to the Pentagon to Ground Zero New York. I will be starting August 31. I've thought about this for about two years, and trained for one. First couple hundred miles I will fine tune my pace and figure out what I'll need. A map will be displayed showing my progress. It's going to be lonely out there. Feel free to join me.

You are a brave soul, but I think you have an awesome reason to be doing this!!! Keep safe on your journey!!! When your in Columbus, Ohio I hope you take Woody Johnson up on his radio interview. I listen to his show everyday. I would enjoy hearing about your journey to that point. I will keep you in prayers and God Bless!!!

You are really amazing

Hello! That's a bit tricky. It may be easier if you call Phil. Here's his number. Thanks for sticking by Phil and looking out for him. any help would be appreciated! 1(815) 501 -6742. If he doesn;t pick up the first time, call back. Sometimes it talkes him a few to dig his phone out of his pocket.
