Blackfoot, United States, Idaho

During our time in Idaho, we crossed the Snake River several times. Clint is a member of the Snakes group of the YMCA Adventure Guides which is named for the Snake River. Our next stop in Idaho was in Ketchum where we had lunch with Doug's Uncle Red and cousins Peter and Brian. We then moved on to Blackfoot, home of the Idaho Potato Museum and Gift Shop. They give “Free Taters for Out-of-Staters,” so we got two packages of dehydrated hash browns. We also saw the World's Largest Potato Crisp, documented by Guiness World Records. The potato crisp (not a potato chip, like a Pringle's) is actually cracked, but I swear it was cracked before we got there. Doug feels that this is a record that can easily be broken, and he plans to work on it when we get home.
