I’ll keep this one short!
We were up at 5 am for a morning game drive through Chobe. We came back for lunch and met Robin who had finally arrived after her earlier transportation difficulties. I took a nap while Robin and Nic chilled out by the pool with a tequila sunrise and a snake in the grass (which tasted like really alcoholic spearmint scope mouthwash….nasty). We then went on an evening game drive and saw even more cool stuff. When we got back, the three of us went on a dinner cruiser. We had the whole boat to ourselves. After dinner, we hung out on the roof deck of the boat with one of the guides and marveled at the bazillion stars overhead.
Things we saw on the game drive:
Baboon
A male lion
Impala
Kudu
Buffalo
A black backed jackal
Elephants
Giraffe
Striped Mongoose
Zebra
Hippo
Crocodile
Birds (fish eagle, rollers, vultures, kingfishers, a huge prehistoric looking walking bird…plus way more)

Wow, it seems like taking pics at the zoo but waaaay cooler know that they are in their natural environment! How do you guys get so close? Are the animals in the reserve used to people coming around? Looks like you guys are having a fab time! ;)
