This was the first place I moved to when I left home. It only lasted about 3 months, DURING SUMMER with NO AC. After that, the roommate whose father owned it sold it and we all had to find new places.

After my first stint on my own, I wasn't eager to move back home and share a room again with my little brother. My grandparents let me move into their basement while I was working and going to college. I will ever be thankful for them allowing me to live with them when I needed a place.

This was the second attempt at living on my own. I moved in with my High School best friend, his girlfriend and my good friend Jenny Pusch. We all worked together at the New Theater Restaurant. I turned 21 here in this apartment! This is also were I met my good friend Chad Powell who moved into the apartment above us.

After a year in the Yellow Apartments, we found a sweet townhome that we could aford with enough of us living there. At first it was Jenny Pusch, myself, Chad Powell, Curtis Stroud and shortly Paul Beiker. Many people came and went here in this place. Paul moved out first, then Curtis, Keri Bontraiger lived here, as did Dexter and Rebecca.

After the merry-go-round of roommates in the townhome, it was again time to move on to bigger and better things! Jenny, myself and Dexter stuck together this time and found a duplex located between DeVry and TNTR. We also picked up Charles Herring and for a very short time, his twin brother John who crashed in the unfinished basement. I spent the bulk of this place dating Jenny Marcotte.

They threw me a great surprise party shortly after graduation in Oct 2000. I sold my motorcycle from this apartment, bought the jetski, and just a little before moving out, met Michelle.

After a year with Nate, who didn't always have a bunch of money, it was time to yet again get some additional roommates to help with bills. This time, it was Gina Spencer, Megan McCarthy and Yaki and myself. This was a 3 story townhome and the girls had the three bedrooms on the 3rd floor. I had the full finished basement. After the first year, Megan, Yaki and Gina moved out and Denise, Rebecca and Michelle moved in (Mary also lived in the living room for a while). Michelle and I had been dating about a year and she just returned home from Lawrence. Technically, for her parents sake, we said our status was just "friends". She had her own room, but it was just like a huge closet. We all stayed here until the break-in!

After the break-in, Michelle and I weren't on best terms and decided to get seperate places. She moved into an apartment with Denise and I got my own place. This was the first time I'd ever lived on my own. It was a nice place and after a while, I really began to enjoy my own space.

I messed up my knee, got a dog, Brach and split with Michelle. I ended up staying here for 4 years, the longest I'd stayed anywhere since moving out at 19!

After living on my own for about 5 years, I decided to move over to the Missouri side. I'd liked what I'd seen from the Lee's Summit area and was interested in buying, so I thought it would be a good idea to try it out first. My good friend Ben had recently split with is girlfriend so he ad a house with space. I moved into his spare room and lived out there for almost 2 years. Bought the boat from this location. Also got relocated out to New Century for work and had to commute about 45 miles each way. This is were I was living wen I met Kendra.

Well, after about 6 months dating Kendra who lived in Stanley, KS, and working in Gardner, KS I was pretty well sick of all the driving. Also, the First Time Homebuyer's Credit was in effect and I had the money to put down on a house. I had been looking in the Olathe area and focused on "Short Sale" homes to try to get a lot of value. One day after Church, I drove by this Half-Duplex that I'd seen several time leaving Kendra's house. It suddenly hit me that I didn't need a huge house, that this half-duplex might be the perfect fit.
