Expedition leader Joseph Hochman and Photographer Timothy Hawkins are embarking on a 2,500 mile journey from Chasuta, Peru to Manaus, Brazil down the Amazon River to raise awareness of gobal climate change and promote the good works of the Rainforest Partnership, an Austin non-profit dedicated to preserving our natural resources. Traveling by primarily by canoe, the expedition aims to understand and explore the culture, the communities and the natural surroundings along the banks of the world's largest river.
