Tim and I have gotten our vaccinations, I'm putting together the first aid kit and we're going to get our visas for Brazil this week. With only two weeks to go we're scrambling to get everything together, but we're on track for success. The gear is starting to come in; it looks like Christmas in my living room (that is, if your Christmas entails hammocks with mosquito netting). In order to make this already daunting task even more exciting (and because we don't have the money to do it any other way) we will be paddling a dug-out canoe, just like the natives do. It will be the first time I have paddled such a craft but it should be exciting!
