Some bad traffic in San Francisco delayed our departure, but we eventually got up to speed and hit Bakersfield. The Elks Club here is amazing. 40,000 square feet. Two huge social areas, a gym, showers, kitchen. They greet us with open arms, and a large Mexican pile-on dinner. At the end of the... |

Vehicles breaking down? I thought that was a requirement for a vacation. During my childhood, every vacation I seem to remember were the ones where the car broke down on the road and we had to wait until my father walked back to the nearest town or farmhouse for help - AAAAHHHHH life without cell phones - Memories - It really does teach a lesson about attitude!
