This morning we visited the ancient site of the Roman Hippodrome (chariot racetrack), the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Cathedral, and Topkapi Palace. The palace was the residence of the Ottoman Sultans from 1465 to 1853. Up to 15,000 people lived within the palace walls at it's peak, under Suleiman the Magnificent.
