The weather however has been variable. Saturday and Monday were wet and really windy so i spent most of my time in Te Papa museum and in the hostel. Sunday however was lovely so I explored the city, took a cable car up to the Botanical Gardens, visitied Parliment buildings and did a walking tour. I spent quite some time browsing the bohemian fashion quarter; Cuba St, with lots of funky second hand clothes shops - I managed to restrain myself from buying anything!!
Today I've stocked up on books from a second hand book shop and am about to set off on my overnight bus to Auckland airport... very excited about spending 12 days on a beach in the Cook Islands.
