I went to Bushy Beach first where the rare and endangered Yellow Eyed Penguins nest, they are so scarce and I was very lucky to see 4 of them come ashore at dusk and make their way across the beach to their nests (these are the ones in the photos).
The I went to the Cape Wanbrow Reserve where I (along with many others!) watched the small Blue Penguins pop up out of the sea and waddle to their nests. They are only about 30cm tall and very cute! No photos allowed unfortuantely.
I now want my own Penguin colony!!
