Only stopping here one night before catching the ferry across to Magnetic Island tomorrow but it seems like a friendly little hub.
Oz is way more expensive than I had reckoned so I've been a good girl and for the last 2 weeks I've cooked dinner and made breakfast and lunch every day... I think its starting to pay off... but it is Pasta again tonight!
Magentic Island is beautful and I have ended up staying 3 nights here in a wonderful hostel. I've been on a wildlife tour and got to hold a young crocodile, lizard, python and black cockatoo. Yes, I overcame my bird phobia and even fed it seed from my lips!
Have met 2 great girls, Sabine and Charlotte and we spent a day treking to WWII forts and look out points around the island. The other 2 days were spent sunbathing on the beach and by the pool.
