To make up for it I landed a really nice room in the city of Hue with lots of bars and restuarants nearby. Spent a good few hours walking around the Kinh Thanh Citadel which was interesting but not particularly informative.. it was heavily bombed during the war but now most of its opulent tombs are in a state of decay. The rest of the city is nice and full of scooters and I ate the most amazing apple and chocolate pancake ;-)
