Location

Agettes, Switzerland

Distance - 46km, altitude difference - 10 km, highest peak - Col des Gentianes (2950m), lowest valley - Mayens-de-l'ours (1470m)

The second day didn’t look so good in the morning. It was snowing through the night and the valley was still locked in a thick fog at 8h in the morning.
Luckily at 9h the skies cleared and we immediately ventured to the freshly fallen snow.

The day was very warm and we started to worry whether the snow will last till the end of the week. Apart from a few slopes we repeated from the previous day we managed to conquer a few new peaks and valleys, among those also Etherolla, Mayens-de-l'Ouvre and Col des Gentianes. There were two options how to get down from the last peak – using a managed slope leading through La Chaux and the one over a glacier leading directly down to Tortin.
Since we were already late some used the ski lift to get back to the valley while others took the road less traveled. I can’t say I enjoyed that glacier slope but I bet it was better than the ski lift.
We completed skiing for that day over a beer on our terrace.
