A great thing about Thyon 2000 is the interconnectivity via the subterranean garage. From the apartments you take an elevator to the ground floor where you put your ski boots on, grab the skis and just walk out to the slopes.
Thyon 2000 lies at the top of the hill located at the far side of a large ski system which includes 4 valleys – 4 valee (Veysonnaz, Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier) and includes 400kms of runs over 4 valleys and almost 100 ski lifts.
The weather was fine, the snow was fresh and the slopes were, well, Swiss – good but raw and unmarked. But we didn’t bother about that.
On the first day we managed to visit Les Masses, Veysonnaz, Siviez and Tortin.
We ended the day on the terrace of Thyon 2000 (Panorama), where cold beer was already waiting.
