Location
Pico Turquino, Cuba
The hike itself was quite demanding, altogether 26 kilometres of going up and down a hill a number of times. We slept over in the shelter where Cuban guides take 15-day shifts. They made us a fantastic dinner and breakfast. There are many mind-blowing views on the way up, but the top itself is nothing spectacular with a statue of Jose Marti and some trees around.
The next stop will be a quiet city of Bayamo where we will try to rest our legs and do some laundry.
