Location

Ypres, Belgium

After spending the morning in Vimy, we left for Ypres that afternoon to continue our tour of WWI battle sights. Ypres was stunning, amazing, and sad.

We attended the Menin Gate ceremony, which occurs EVERY day at 8pm to honour the Commonwealth soldiers who died in WWI fighting in the Ypres-Salient.

The next day we took a bike ride through Flander's Field, and to Passchendale. The museum there was possibly the best war museum I have seen (after the one in Ottawa).
