Overview

Tagline

A six-week trip on the east side of Australia featuring me, my wife and one of our friends from college.

These photos and tracks cover roughly 6 weeks worth of trip from as far south as Daintree in Queensland to the 12 Apostles in the south from December 3rd 2007 to January 14th 2008. Highlights are Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Key learning is to make sure that your camera has the right time zone when it's trying to synch up with a GPS track, something I didn't have right for the first week and then screwed up again when we got to Adelaide with its special 30-minute-off zone. (Though, honestly, I need to fix coordinates on a whole lot of these images. But they're all here now, I think, no more to upload -- it's just that they're often in the wrong spots if you zoom in far enough.)

The treasury building got converted into a wholly adequate hotel which has the good fortune of being in an interesting building. These photographs were taken in the cellar.
