Ps. that jumper I made Dad drive back to home for, I think its found a new home at the Brisbane Terminal (where I think I left it) 0 Arrival to Deutschland 26-DEC-2007 06:40:00 Landing in Frankfurt to find my way to Munster 0 Munster 26-DEC-2007 13:48:00 I arrived to Muenster quite easily from Frankfurt with the ICE train, I would recommend prepurchasing tickets (something I didnt do) as you can save quite abit which in my case would have been 50 euro's theres coffee, fresh sandwiches and wireless internet to keep you busy. people were kind and helpful where I needed directions and most staff spoke english 0 Pit stop at Rohrdorf 26-DEC-2007 21:00:00 We made a short pitstop at a small town called Rohdorf, as far as I remember it was quite close to the autobahn. They had excellent food and local wiesbier. 0 Onto Klagenfurt 27-DEC-2007 16:00:00 Left Muenster for Klagenfurt, David needed to find an apartment there and then we would visit some neighbouring countries. 0 Hello Venice 29-DEC-2007 13:00:00 After a few nice days and beers in Klagenfurt and finding a liveable apartment it was time to go exploring, after driving southwards we decided to head towards Italy and then Venice. The other choice was Slovenia. Venice was quite impressive but the masses of tourists even in winter and the fact that you keep walking past 4 to 5 of the same things the whole time (a shop selling masks/costumes, a pizzeria, fashion shop or a church) made me think this place really was as touristy as people described. The architecture and art sure is amazing though. It could even be a romantic place but that wasnt our mission ... A place to stay is quite hard to find in the middle of the historic part of Venice, depending on your pockets of course. I settled for a 3 star hotel which was quite nice at 70 euros and wasnt too far from whatever we wanted to see.
