Overview

Tagline

We decided to find out if bicycle touring is our kind of holiday. The answer turned out to be a resounding yes.

A 13-day trip through southwest England by bike (and train). Jelka and I flew to London and took a train to Salisbury, where we started cycling. We boarded train again after Glastonbury and rode it to Barnstaple, from where we cycled to Eden Project. We wanted to reach Land's End, but we ran out of time and were told there's not much to see there, anyway. We returned to London by train again and flew home from there. The trip was a nice mixture of adventure, sigthseeing and exercise - we enjoyed it a lot.

Magnificent (the greenhouse more than the plants, though)!

The campsite in Par is not trerribly appealing and the birds eat the spread indended for our breakfast (because we unwisely left it outside over the night).
