Believe it or not we are now on another island in Thailand. Simply, we just couldn't resist the idea of spending more time relaxing and doing nothing. We left Vientiane at 5pm Sunday afternoon and arrived at Ko Chang at 4pm on Monday afternoon. We spent sunday night on an overnight bus to bangkok after crossing the border. We arrived n Bangkok at 5.30am and then waited at Khao San Road until our connecting bus to Ko Chang arrived at 8am. Another 6 hour bus ride and we got to Trat before getting on a ferry to Ko Chang. Then we got a tuk tuk to Bailan Family Bungalows. We are in a really good bungalow for 450B and its just down from the beach. Jaree and I relaxed all afternoon and drank our dutyfree baileys. Neddless to say we were totally sleep deprived and we crash for a solid 12 hours last night. But in hindsight it was definately wirth it as we have no where to go for a good 4 days! I had curry for breakfast because I have been craving it for days. One thing is for sure, Thailand is far superior in the food stakes.
Hows this, during our 20 minute drive down the coast of Ko Chang to Bailan Bay we passes 6 7/11 convenience stores as opposed toLaos where we didn't see a single one. I swear they just love a convenience store around here.
Alrighty well we're off to relax some more... you might now hear from me much in the next few days as we will be sucessfully doing nothing and I won't have much to report on...
