New Sukhothai, Thailand
Jaree and I took a 7 hour bus trip yesterday (2/1) and arrived in New Sukhothai. This town is home to the Ruins of Old Sukhothai Historical Park. Apart from that the town has little in the way of things to do or see so our stay here will be brief.
We spent the day today riding around the historical park on a couple of push bikes that we hired for B20. It was alot of fun as neither Jaree or I has ridden a bike in a very long time! The novelty did wear off when our bums started to get very sore! We took some beautiful picturs of the ruins that included many large buddahs.
We were stopped by a bunch of kids in the park and asked a whole page of questions in english which was obviously some sort of school activity. The were lovely and wanted to take photos of us.
Tomorrow we're off to Chiang Mai which we are both really looking forward to.
