In the morning we climbed the rest of the pass and saw yamdrok lake. A lot of jeeps come here for the view from Lhasa so the pass was full of people selling crap and charging money for pictures together with dogs, yaks and themselves. Very annoying but understandable since the view was fantastic. The jeeps turn around and go back to Lhasa at the pass so down by the lake its easy to find a nice spot for camping and thats what we did.
In the afternoon 3 jeeps and a truck stopped a few hundred meters away. It was a group of 8 french tourists with 7(!) nepali and tibetan drivers, cooks and guides. The main guide was a very nice man from nepal who invited us over for dinner. He didnt try to hide that he was pretty tired of the french and ate with us and the rest of the crew in the kitchen tent after he had served the french.
We also had a swim in the yamdrok lake, about 4500 meters above sea level.. cold and refreshing.
