Another beautiful day. In the morning i woke up at around 8 and it was to hot to stay in the tent. We made breakfast and continued the last km to the pass. I dont know if the chinese exaggerate the altitude on purpose or if there are different ways of measuring, but the signs are usually 2-300 meters more than my GPS. According to my GPS this pass was 4440 m.
There was no long downhill on the other side and the next few days we would spend at between 4200 and 4500 m. It seems that both of us have acclimatized to the altitude and apart from shortness of breath we have had no problems. The can of oxygen we bought in Chengdu is still unused and dead weight in the panniers.
At night we camped on a windy hill.
