The expedition started the morning with a routine search for snakes. Two venomous snakes were found yesterday morning on the small boat "Amazonswim 1".
Using a long stick, the crew managed to push one of the snakes to water were he rapidly swam away. The other snake was more aggressive, and was eventually killed with a machete. The snake was identified by the locals as the Surucucu that its venom can kill a person within 24 hours.
The people of the small community of Terezinha 4 (were we stopped at night) showed us a photo of one of their babies given a bath to a bigger snake...
