John and I are off to have Orthodox Christmas and New Year in St Petersburg. We aim to catch up with old friends, check out the cultural scene (theatres and concert-halls) and buy lots of books and teaching aids. I am hoping that the temperature stays above -5!

Hope you're having a great time - just wondering if you'd posted any journals yet? They don't come up when I go to your page on triptracker.... It says that you have 6 comments, but I can't view them. We all miss you and are thinking of you! Meg

Hope you're having a great time in St. Petersburg. John taught us the superlative today....eek! Anyway, hope you get time to write a journal so we all know what adventures you've been having. Take care! Sarah :)

Trip tracker is a great idea, but when one is in St Petersburg, how can there possibly be time to sit at a computer (unless it is in some good cafe, perhaps, with lots of people watching available at the same time)! Hope it's fascinating in Medvedev's Russia (ha ha). best Susan

Thanks for your message. I seem to be making a right mess of updating my trip. I am very hit and miss. I seem to be able very easily to set up a new trip but not add to the one I've got going. If you could sent me hints to wmcnair@bigpond.net.au I would be very grateful. I had a very vivid dream with you in it the other night. I continue to have the most amazing time. I came across Botanik cafe when I was looking for the Stieglitz museum and will definitely go there for a meal. On Wednesday I am taking Natasha to the Ten Tenors who are giving one concert here in the Big Concert Hall. Must go. I think of you, Zoe and Sam a lot as I walk around the city. There is so much to explore. Good luck in your exams! See you in sec sem. Lyndall
