What This Privacy Policy Covers

  • This privacy policy covers the use of the TripTracker.net web site and other TripTracker services and applications.
  • This privacy policy covers how we treat personal information that is collected and received in the use of TripTracker. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, or email address.
  • Children under 13 are not permitted to use the TripTracker service, and so this privacy policy makes no provision for children's use of the site.

Information Collection and How it is used

General Information

  • TripTracker collects personal information when you register with TripTracker to use TripTracker services or to post content on TripTracker.
  • When you register we ask only for your email address. Your email address is required for authentication and may be used for occasional notifications related to the TripTracker service. We will not share your email address with other users or third parties.
  • The provision of information such as your name, address or place of residence, and any other personally identifiable content you submit in the use of TripTracker services, is optional, and may be visible to other TripTracker users and visitors of TripTracker.net.
  • TripTracker automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie, and the page you request. This information is used for the following general purposes: products and services provision, identification and authentication, investigating defects, services improvement, contact, research, statistics gathering, and anonymous reporting.

Cookies

  • You can request termination of your TripTracker account by email at [email protected]; however, please note that your identification may remain in TripTracker's records for some period of time.

  • We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
  • Your TripTracker Account Information is password-protected. It is your responsibility to keep your password secure.

Content marked as private

  • TripTracker allows you to mark certain content posted to TripTracker as private, or to make certain content visible only to specific TripTracker users (Private Content).
  • Access to Private Content is protected with your password and/or passwords of TripTracker users to which you granted access to your Private Content. It is the responsibility of TripTracker users to keep their passwords secure.
  • We will not purposely disclose Private Content to other TripTracker users or visitors of TripTracker.net.
  • Private Content may be accessed by employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
  • You alone assume the risk of any disclosure of private content in the event of malicious use of the TripTracker service or other unforeseen circumstances.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time for any reason. If there are any significant changes to how we handle personal information we will send a notice to the primary email address specified in your TripTracker Account Information or by placing a prominent notice on the TrpTracker.net website or the TripTracker developers blog.
