| Love what triptracker does with my GPX files and Flickr photos- great way to combine the two (and the only place to do it so nicely). Do you think you will be adding the capability of writing BACK to Flickr with geotags? This way, I can use my time and energy putting my collection into triptracker, and be able to use that effort in other places as well (Google Map mashup XYZ that can do something cool with my pictures). I have alot of GPX info and alot of pictures on Flickr, and want some kind of insurance on the time it takes to place my collection on TripTracker. What happens if TripTracker is gone in two months (God forbid)? All my work would be in vain. Ability to tag my photos in Flickr (with info you already have) would make more people comfortable with using your service. If you're interested in growing, this might be a good avenue to consider. | ||

| jeremy, I agree with you completely and we do plan to write back geotags to Flickr. We are also considering providing a way to export complete trips with exif geotagged photos for the owner of the trip. Potential candidates are GoogleEarth format with embedded photos or GeoRSS with photos in a zip file. Another way to access data stored in the TripTracker will be through our SOAP and REST API once we make it public. | ||
