| Sometimes we do not bring a GPS with us on a trip. What is the best way to georeference photos for such trips using TripTracker? | ||

| Edward, hi! If you don't have a GPS track, you can set the location of "trip entries" manually. All photos assigned to that trip entry will inherit this location. To set the location of a trip entry, use edit-->trip entries-->set location. A popup will appear, which allows you to set the location manually. In the "set location" popup, you can either: - Enter the name of a populated place or landmark, select one of the results in the list, and click "apply location" or - Click on the map (TripTracker will display places near to where you clicked) and click "apply location" Hope this helps. -- Andrej | ||

| I have absolutely no idea where the button for 'add location' is. I just have 'add GPS', but I don't have GPS! :( | ||

| Hi chuttz, Braco's post is describing the old web page design and does not apply any more. To set the location of a trip entry manually follow these steps: - go to the home page of your trip - click on the edit button in the Journal section. This will take you to the Edit->Journal edit tab - double click on the trip entry or click on the edit button next to the trip entry - click on the "Change location" button on the Journal entry edit page Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Also I would very much appreciate if you could tell us which step was not intuitive for you so we can improve our GUI design. You can post your answer here or send an email to support@triptracker.net. best regards, gregor | ||

| > Enter the name of a populated place or landmark, select one of the results in the list, and click "apply location" ...should actually read: Enter the name of a populated place or landmark, click "SEARCH", select one of the results in the list, and click "APPLY LOCATION". There's one final detail: If the longitude/latitude fields aren't empty when executing a search, the search will be limited to results within a small radius from that location. That means you usually want to click "CLEAR" to reset the longitude/latitude fields before searching. Unless you want search results close to that longitude/latitude. | ||

| The set location wizard was now completely redesigned and is hopefully easier to use. regards, gregor | ||
