| Hi Guys, I just recently came across this site and am massively impressed - it's fantastic. I've started to create a trip document my family's emigration from the UK to New Zealand... I added a number of dates/journals in the UK followed by some in New Zealand and it correctly linked everything up on the map/track display... then i realised that I could upload my GPS tracks from my Navman unit, so duly did so... now the GPS track I uploaded shows clearly on the map but all the connectivity between the previous dates/logs has disappeared. I would really like the map to show the whole journey we made from the UK, arriving in New Zealand travelling around as we did with the standard "tracks" followed by the the more detailed GPS tracks but all connected together so my friends/family can follow the actual journey and routes we took. Have I missed something in trying to make this work? Regards David | ||

| Hi David, I am really sorry for the late reply. I guess your post somehow slipped under the radar. The behavior you are describing is actually done so on purpose. If a trip doesn't contain a GPS track we link all locations with a direct line. But once a GPS track is added only GPS track is shown. You can still progress through the locations using the trip entry or photo next/previous buttons. The problem is that you cannot detect automatically whether two locations are already connected with a GPS track or that you need to draw a connecting line between them. There are some ideas of letting the users set this on each trip entry but that would be very cumbersome to use. I suggest you make two trips out of that. One is your trip to New Zealand and the other one traveling New Zealand. I hope this helps. regards, gregor | ||
