| Hi! Apparently, Triptracker automagically stick thes pictures to the nearest city referenced by google map. I'm currently in a quite remote area, and the pictures appear sometimes quite far from the real place they where taken. Is there a way to force the location of each picture to be the exact location they were taken ? thank you in advance, | ||

| When location is assigned automatically from GPS track the location (lon/lat) is set to that exact track point while the name is set to the nearest place. You can modify either the name of the location by just editing the name (on trip entry or on each photo) or even relocate the photo by going through the Set location wizard. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance. regards, gregor | ||

| It's a bit weird... Some picture have not been taken at the exact same place, at the exact same location, et they appears with only one marker placed on the nearest city name... I have to investigate. | ||

| Sorry it took so long to respond. I was out of the office las week. I took a look at the day 24.8.2009 when you were driving from around Casapalca to La Oroya. The track shows data from 13:14 GMT to 21:30 GMT which is actually 8:14 to 16:30 local time. You arrived in La Oroya at around 20:08 GMT or 15:08 local time. There is no other track data until 13:47 GMT next day when you left the place around 13:52 GMT (8:52 local time). Trip entry at 24.08.2009 16:21 and photos taken from 24.08.2009 16:52 to 24.08.2009 16:53 in this trip entry are placed all in La Oroya according to the GPS data. Photo at 24.08.2009 17:50 has a manually set location to -76.19129, -11.59721 (note that the caption of the location is still set to La Oroya) which is then inherited to neighbouring photos and trip entries. My guess is that your camera time is not set to the local time and you tried to compensate that by manually setting the location of a couple of photos. If this is true than I suggest first clearing all manually set locations (you can see which photos and journal entries are manually set by looking for a yellow circular marker in the edit mode) and then shifting the photos taken in Peru to show local time. My guess is that your camera is still set to the CET time zone. I am not sure if journal entries will shift time with that as well. If not just merge and then split the entries again. If you need any further help just let me know. Safe travel, gregor | ||

| Yes. Your camera should be set to local time. I suggest you also shift the time of your existing photos to the local time using TripTracker. This way all photos will align correctly to the right location. If you need further help let me know. gregor | ||

| Ok, I corrected to local timeµ. That was my mistake to believe that the photos have to be dated at GMT. | ||

| An other example: In my trip, Picture #466 taken 09/10/2009 at 1:03 PM. the picture is located by triptracker in Cuzco at : -13.519688 -71.974642 (But I was at that exact point at 15:47 GMT ) But, in fact, the picture has been taken in Anta at -13.462687 -72.147891 (Where i was at 13:03 GMT) | ||
