| Hi. Having trouble. Using SportsTracker on a Nokia N82 to generate waypoints... works fine for apps like GeoSetter. TripTracker is giving parse errors on formats it supports generating (GPX, XML, CSV) but supporting the Google Earth KML... however the photos do not associate as expected, appear squished in close on one part of the route. If I geotag them first using GeoSetter they appear where expected. Was hoping to perhaps eliminate the desktop geotagging activity if I could find a service I enjoy for sharing these "trips+media". Mainly your map widget is superb... and want to be able to use that on my portals. | ||

| Hi clickykbd! > Using SportsTracker on a Nokia N82 to generate waypoints... I believe SportsTracker stores local time in its waypoints (as set on the phone). This may be an issue when matching photos to track samples, since TripTracker assumes the waypoint timestamps are in GMT time, as is typical of almost all other GPS units/software. > TripTracker is giving parse errors on formats it supports generating (GPX, XML, CSV) but supporting the Google Earth KML... Could you possibly send the track files which are not parsed successfully to support@triptracker.net so that we can pinpoint the issue. Normally our preferred track format is GPX. > however the photos do not associate as expected, appear squished in close on one part of the route. The problem with KML files is that the route does not contain timestamps and TripTracker has no way of associating photos with the GPS data - we can merely display the track. > If I geotag them first using GeoSetter they appear where expected. Was hoping to perhaps eliminate the desktop geotagging activity... Agreed. Although we do support geotagged photos with EXIF geo tags, the preferred method is to upload a GPS track file and non-geotagged photos and to let TripTracker do the matching. > Mainly your map widget is superb... and want to be able to use that on my portals. Thanks for the "thumbs up"! | ||
