| GE export and Ground Clampy issues... | ||

| Having some weirdness with my test trips and how the labels/photos hover well above the earth in GE, with lines pointing down to the route... too easy to zoom under them... any way to just have a pref on export that clamps everything to the ground, don't know if the elevation data is what's causing this or just a decision about where to put them. | ||

| Actually, if the photos/entries are clamped to the ground, they are sometimes obscured by the terrain in Google Earth which is also annoying. Google Earth allows you to adjust the altitude of the markers (relative to the ground). Here's how: When viewing a trip, Google Earth will display an entry with the trip title in the "Places" pane. Expand this entry, right-click "Trip Entries", and click on "Properties". You can adjust the elevation in the "Altitude" tab of the Properties dialog. Follow the same procedure for adjusting the elevation of photo markers. Hope this helps. Cheers, Andrej | ||
